Reshaping it ALL.. and a giveaway or two

As I recently mentioned, I have been reading Reshaping it ALL by Candace Cameron Bure and Darlene Schacht. I finally finished the book. I love to read and normally don't re-read a lot of books. However, I know for a fact that I will be coming back to this book many times. I even bought it on my new Nook so that I can have access to it more. Candace and Darlene (I feel as though they are old friends) do any incredible job of combing motivation that helps you physically as well as spiritually. Scripture is woven through out the entire book. As well as personal stories of triumph over weight. Losing weight has always been an issue of mine. I have tried the diets. Tried the pills. Tried sweating it out at the gym. But I have never been consistent with anything. Candace helped bring to light how important our mind set and our spiritual life have to do with our bodies. At the end of every chapter, Candace includes The Pantry Dish in which she shares The Main Ingredient, A Slice of Advice, A Pinch of Practicality, Food for Thought, The Candy Dish, and From My Stove to Yours. I love that Candace always points you back to the Word of God. On a website (I forgot which one) during a video interview about the book, Candace described that book as a spiritual makeover. I must agree totally. I thoroughly have enjoyed reading this book. So much so, that on my birthday- January 28th, I will be giving away two (2) copies of Reshaping it ALL. So leave a comment on this post and you will be entered to win. Also for an extra entry, you can follow me on Twitter and mention the giveaway. Happy reading!

  17. Your review makes me even more excited to read the book than I was before. I've been interested in reading it since Candace began teething about it. As a girl who has "won some" and "lost some" in the battle with weight (and all that goes with it) since I was in middle school, would love a new, spirit-filled perspective. And as a new youth minister, I would love to be able to share the extra wisdom and spiritual health with my teen girls. Thanks so much for an opportunity to win a free copy!!

  20. Hello, I would love to enter this contest. My daughter recently got married & has been having a rough time
(Money seems to be a very big problem) I was trying to find a way to buy this book for chritsmas for her
& I ended up having all of my saved money stolen by a stranger. My daughter has been going through many conflicts
& has been trying to lose weight, but has had no motivation. She adores candace more than anyone. She's looked up to her
Since she was only 8 when she was on full house. When she found out on about her new book, she tried to find a job, but so far no luck.
My daughter deserves this motivational book more than anyone. I know for a fact that you'd not only make me happy, but my daughter.
I will do anything, anything to win a copy. My daughter's email is mrandmrsvmluna2k10@hotmail.com . Her twitter username is SugarMau5
If you could please let me know what I can do to win a copy, please, let me know.

  53. Yesterday we talked for a while & I enjoyed our conversation. About a few days ago I entered your contest & have been retweeting over your giveaway 3-4 times each day. I've been trying
Super super badly to somehow finally (maybe!) Win something for once. I don't have much luck when it comes to giveaways.

    Here goes my story.
My name is Maricruz. I like Mari better, though. I'm 19 years old. On the 4th of february will be my 1st year of being married.
I always dreamed aboutow marriage would be this great awesome journey, don't get me wrong, but I've had many rough days.
I love to read. I love to take pictures, & I talk way to much sometimes. Since I was 8, I've been overweighed. I've always been pushed around, & everyone used me.
By the time I hit 15 I was deppressed & heading the wrong way. I'd cut myself, blame myself for my past, I was even molested by my uncle.
When I told me dad he didn't believe me & he hurt me by beating me & breaking my glasses. When I turned 8, I remember flipping through channels & came accross full house. I was laughing, happy. Wishing
My family was like theirs. I looked up to candace as I was the oldest of 2 younger brothers. I wanted to be her, dress like her, she was my inspiration.
I had so many people walk away from my life, my own grandma trying to destroy my family & tear us apart. She didn't give up until she seperated my aunts, my uncles & my cousins from me. The only thing I had other than my brother & my parents.
Then I met Victor. He...changed my life so much & brought me just enough family that I needed. He & my mom wanted to get me this book.
They believed it would help me move on from my horrible past & help me feel beautiful. Candace Cameron Bure was the only person that helped me out through my worst moments.
I feel I deserve this book more than most people. I promise that if I do get a chance at winning, I will give thi book to my mom, who could also use some motavation after losing her entire family.
You'd be helping both of us & not just one person. If there is anything I can do, to even be close to winning one of the books, please let me know.

I could really use some form of motivation to get me on track.

Oh, & I'm getting sick of anything I eat or smell. Is that part of pregnancy?
