Baxter Family Reunion-day 3

On Wednesday, Karen hosted a Baxter Family Picnic. We got up early because it started at 11:00. It was hot outside, but not unbearable. There were tons of people. Karen arrived not long after we got there and we went and got in the line for book signing. We finally made our way to the front-she's popular! After thanking us for the drink, she signed our books and took pictures with us. We knew she didn't have much time, but it was great just to have the chance for a couple of quick moments with her.
A book that Karen wrote Like Dandelion Dust has been made into a motion picture. It will be released in September. A producer for the movie arranged for there to be two showings of the complete movie at a theater in Bloomington. Hannah and I had gotten tickets the day before and knew that we would stay in town until the showing. So after a little while in the heat, we decided to go eat and cool off before the movie. At 3 we went to the showing of the movie. I have already read the book and most say that I was completely moved by the movie. They did an incredible job with making it. I can hardly wait to see it again. After the movie, we headed home. We drove back to Nashville and this time ate at Joe's Crab Shack. I finally arrived home at 3 am. It may have been a quick trip, but COMPLETELY worth every minute of it. Hope Karen has another family reunion next year, because my bag is packed!
