Snow Days and Brussel Sprouts

The weathermen were right. IT SNOWED! And by it snowed, it snowed about 9 inches. I got home Sunday morning and did not leave again until Tuesday night when it was time for me to come back to work. I read, watched tv/movies, slept, and repeated that process for two days. It was kinda nice not having to go anywhere or do anything; but, I was ready to get out of the house. I like days where I can stay home all day, but not for very many in a row. I know many people have gotten snowed in this week. Enjoy some pictures of the snow from my view.

This was my car when I went to de snow it before going to work.

On another note, I have never tried brussel sprouts. Just the thought of them didn't sound good to me. But Kelly gave me a recipe of them to try and I made it tonight before work. I must say it was super easy and I did actually like them. I must say that they were better right out of the oven than they were warmed up.

                                                     Here is the recipe:
                                            1 bag frozen brussel sprouts
                                             small amount of olive oil
                                             small amount of sea salt

I poured the bag of sprouts in a casserole dish
                                                 drizzled them with oil
                                                    sprinkled sea salt
Bake in the oven on 400 for about 40 minutes- all done
(That is a black pot holder under the glass dish)

  1. Thank you for the recipe! I loved Brussels sprouts even as a kid (my friends thought that was weird...LOL) and I'm always looking for new ways to serve them! :o)
