Journey to 100

Over the past few years, I can say that I didn't get on the scale very often. Alright, not at all. I didn't want to know the number. I knew I was over weight, so why rub it in my face. I can remember wanting to try out for The Biggest Loser. I got online and printed out the paperwork. Guess what was one the first questions: your current weight. In order to know that number, I had to get on a scale. So I did. And let me tell you, I was SHOCKED when the number flashing at me read 356.2 Yes, I can still remember the exact number. When that's the number that currently defines you, you remember. I honestly didn't think that I weighed that much. So I wanted to experience Biggest Loser even more. I got up the courage, took my information and attended an open call in Nashville. I didn't make the cut. I was determined to lose some of that weight. So I began exercising and eating healthier. I did lose some weight. And then I gained it back. So last November, I began the process of having a gastric sleeve procedure. On May 8, 2012 I had the procedure done and haven't looked back yet. I've had goals reached that I once deemed impossible. One major goal for me was to lose 100 pounds. I set a goal date and planned a party. I'm trying not to weigh in so much so that I'm not discouraged. So this weeks weigh in was very important. My party is 6 days away (this was on Monday) and I was needing to lose 3 pounds. I'm very happy to say that the goal has been met, plus some! This has been an amazing journey. I'm discovering a "new" me. The journey isn't over, but I'm so looking forward to what it beholds. Up first- my CELEBRATION OF 100 POUND WEIGHT LOSS!!!
me at my heaviest- The Biggest Loser Casting Call
in September

Hope that everyone has a fantastic weekend. Mine will be filled with celebrations!
